Our Impact

The past 14 months of the COVID-19 crisis have been extremely challenging. As widely reported, the black and brown communities have been disproportionately impacted by the virus due to underlying conditions created by socio-economic disparity. Scores of our community members have died from the COVID-19 virus and hundreds are infected. W2A, in collaboration with our community partners, are in constant contact with families to ensure they’re getting daily meals and facilitate access to COVID-19 relief funding; to offer mental health counseling;

Thousands of constituents

Over the years, we have served thousands of immigrant New Yorkers, through our offsite programs and collaborations… but the COVID-19 pandemic was testament to the crucial need for grassroots nonprofit such as W2A. We facilitated the distribution of 20,000 plus hot meals in 2020/2021 and procured thousands of PPEs for our constituents. We helped with temporary housing for scores of our community members who were infected with the virus and were treated and discharged from the hospital. We participated in daily updated during the eye of the COVID storm and ensured that our community stayed informed.
